Tottenham Hotspur have just done what no other Premier League side have managed in over two years, beating Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
Since November 12, 2022, when Brentford came away from City with all three points, Pep Guardiola's star-studded side have maintained an unbeaten record on home soil. Ange Postecoglou's wiped that slate clean with a stunning 4-0 victory on Saturday evening.
The hosts had dominated those opening minutes until Dejan Kulusevski bullied Josko Gvardiol to first win the ball, then played the perfect cross for James Maddison to hit a 13th-minute sucker punch.
The 28-year-old grabbed his second seven minutes later, stunning the home support, then Pedro Porro's blast and Brennan Johnson's tap-in after half-time completed a fine night in the north west for the north Londoners.
While the result leaves City's title ambitious in an unusually precarious state, it allows Spurs to move up to sixth in the Premier League standings. and look further towards the top four rather than over their shoulders ahead of the upcoming festive period. With that being said, football.london has taken a look at Spurs upcoming league fixtures compared to their closest rivals for European qualification;

December 15 vs Southampton (A) at 7pm - Premier LeagueSpurs will be big favourites to beat Southampton when they meet in mid-December, though they will do well to remember the lessons of recent poor results against Ipswich Town and Crystal Palace.
December 22 vs Liverpool (H) at 4.30pm - Premier LeagueIn the fifth upcoming Premier League fixture, current leaders Liverpool are the visitors to north London. Arne Slot has got off to a near-perfect start with the club and there will be also the added element of revenge on the cards for the visitors, given what happened the last time the two teams met at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Reds had two red cards that day but, most controversially, Luis Diaz had what appeared to be an onside goal disallowed by VAR. Spurs then won through a Joel Matip own-goal in stoppage time.
