Premier League fixtures

Tottenham secured a huge victory over Luton Town in the race for Champions League football this past weekend. The Lilywhites entered the March international break off the back of a hugely disappointing 3-0 defeat to Fulham however they were able to pick up three points at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium despite falling behind early on.

Tahith Chong was the beneficiary of a mistake by Dejan Kulusevski after just a few minutes with the ball eventually reaching the former Manchester United man inside the box and his effort flew back across goal beyond Guglielmo Vicario. As a result of the goal, Spurs have conceded first in their last five home games, although four of those have resulted in victories.

Despite heading into the interval behind, there was plenty of time to turn the game on its head with substitute Brennan Johnson making an immediate impact. A darting run down the right from the Wales international, via a one-two with Pedro Porro, allowed him space to cross and his fierce ball in was turned into his own net by Issa Kabore.

Captain Son Heung-min then netted a late winner, finishing a flowing attack with his shot deflecting in off Daiki Hashioka. With three points secured, Spurs moved back into the top four although Villa look set to reclaim that spot at the expense of Wolves.

With that said, football.london has taken a look at the next five fixtures for both teams along with Manchester United as they eye a late top-four challenge.

West Ham (A) - Tuesday, April 2

Just a few days after beating Luton, Spurs will be involved in another London derby as they head to West Ham. Despite being 3-1 in front, the Hammers lost a seven-goal thriller to Newcastle on Saturday which has dented their European hopes.

The reverse fixture was won by David Moyes' side and he will again be hoping to get the best of Tottenham under the lights.

Nottingham Forest (H) - Sunday, April 8

Up next for Spurs is a home clash against relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest with a return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for Nuno Espirito Santo.

Breaching profit and sustainability rules, which resulted in a four-point deduction, has seen Forest thrown into the relegation scrap and thus they will be fighting for every point.

Newcastle (A) -Saturday, April 13

Last season Spurs were embarrassed by Newcastle in this exact fixture with five goals conceded in the opening 25 minutes. The Magpies have struggled more this season although their impressive comeback win against West Ham may fuel them on for the remainder of the campaign

For Tottenham, this clash is the beginning of a hugely difficult run of games with fixtures against Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City to follow.

Arsenal (H) - Sunday, April 28

A North London Derby closes out April for Tottenham as their rivals fight to win the Premier League title. Ange Postecoglou took his team to Emirates Stadium earlier in the season and left with a deserved point.

While the Lilywhites have a two-week break from action, the clash will be Arsenal's sixth in a 19-day period and fatigue could therefore play a role.

Liverpool (A) - Saturday, May 4

Tottenham's last-gasp victory over nine-man Liverpool earlier in the season was nothing short of wonderful and it remains as just one of two league defeats for Jurgen Klopp's side.

As the clash arrives with just a few games to play, Anfield will certainly be bouncing in an attempt to help Liverpool see out Klopp's stunning tenure with a Premier League title.
