In the first round Scotland had the chance to take advantage of their home advantage and the support of their fans, but they couldn't be effective and came away with a defeat. The Portuguese won 2-1 on home soil and will be looking to confirm their second place. Scotland, on the other hand, lost 3-2 and will have to make up for it away from home.
