Pundit Predictions: Who starts in Porto?

Manchester United are back in UEFA Europa League action this evening as we take on Portuguese outfit FC Porto (20:00 BST).

Erik ten Hag's side will be looking to bounce back following our Premier League defeat against Spurs on Sunday, having gone down 3-0 on home soil.

But with the onus firmly on returning to winning ways, the Reds are likely to have our work cut-out against stern opposition.

Ahead of the encounter, MUTV's very own Wes Brown and Phil Bardsley have provided their thoughts on how they see the game panning out across the 90 minutes.

First goalscorer: Joshua Zirkzee.

Final score: FC Porto 1 United 2

Man of the Match: Bruno Fernandes.

Brown - who made 362 appearances for the Reds - thinks Ten Hag's men will pick up our first victory of the season in Europe this evening. Dutch forward Zirkzee has been tipped to open the scoring, with captain Fernandes set to play a leading role in a one-goal victory for United.

PHIL BARDSLEY'S PREDICTIONS

Man of the Match: Bruno Fernandes.

Phil Bardsley also thinks United will emerge victorious from this evening's clash in Portugal, by the same scoreline of 2-1. Argentine forward Garnacho is fancied to notch his fifth goal of the season with Fernandes again predicted to be our shining light.
