AmaZulu & Pirates Starting XIs Announced - iDiski Times

AmaZulu FC and Orlando Pirates have announced their starting line-ups for the Nedbank Cup clash at Moses Mabhida Stadium this evening.

Usuthu has already gone one step further than last season in the Nedbank Cup.

The KwaZulu-Natal-based side have been hot and cold in the league, which sees themselves in 12th position on the table with 28 points.

However, they’ve had a good run in the Nedbank Cup after beating Royal AM in the Last-32 by 1-0 before eliminating Sekhukhune United in the Last-16 by 2-0.

They are one of the two sides that are yet to concede in the tournament.

Pirates, meanwhile, haven’t lost a Nedbank Cup clash for almost two years. They look to add their second trophy this season after clinching MTN8 at the beginning of the campaign.

Jose Riveiro will have to do it without their two centre-back pairing after Tapelo Xoki and Nkosinathi Sibisi, who are both suspended for this clash.

With Bucs also contesting for CAF inter-club competition, the Nedbank Cup also gives them the opportunity to qualify for Africa.

These two sides faced each other 34 times, Pirates won on 15 occasions, while AmaZulu only won three times and 16 matches ended in draws.
