October Events in Bedford

Spoooky season has arrived and we’re ready for a jammed packed October around Bedford! If you’re looking for a few things to do this month, we’ve got something for everyone:

National Night Out (October 1 from 5 to 8 p.m.): Bedford Police, Fire, and City staff will be out and about in Bedford visiting neighborhood block parties. Check with your neighborhood or homeowners’ association to see if your area is participating.Bedford Fall Concert Series feat. Hard Nights Day (Friday, October 4 at Generations Park at Boys Ranch, 2801 Forest Ridge Dr.): Bring your lawn chair and blanket, play some lawn games with the kiddos, eat some delicious food, and listen to live music from Hard Nights Day, a tribute band of The Beatles. All ages are welcome. Live music begins at 7:30 p.m.Library Friends Pumpkin Patch Opens (October 8): What’s fall without a pumpkin patch?! Stop by the Bedford Library Pumpkin Patch (2424 Forest Ridge Dr.) from October 8-31 to pick out your favorite pumpkin and grab some fall pictures with the family. Patch hours and pumpkin prices will be available online. Paper Shred Day (October 12 from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Meadow Park Athletic Complex, 3200 Meadow Park Dr.): Grab your old documents to be securely shredded and recycled, in addition to electronic waste (old computers, printers, etc.). Learn more.Bedford Fire Department Open House (October 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Central Fire Station, 1816 Bedford Rd.): Meet your Bedford firefighters, tour a fire truck, watch as crews demonstrate a vehicle extrication, use a fire hose, and more!Murder Mystery Dinner – Midnight at the Masquerade (October 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Turning Point Beer, 1307 Brown Trail): Participants will become sleuths as they try and put together clues to solve the mystery of “who dunnit.” A full course meal and two drinks are included in the ticket registration. Register online.Beer, Brats, and More (October 19 from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Bedford Library): This annual and free outdoor party will feature live music, a variety of Texas craft beers, and food trucks selling brats, sweets, and more.Bedford Boo Bash (October 26 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Generations Park at Boys Ranch): Parks and Recreation is taking over Generations Park for an evening of treat stations, bounce houses, market vendors, crafts, food trucks, and more.Halloween Goat Yoga (October 27 from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Bedford Library): Get your yoga on in the Pumpkin Patch while a tribe of goats in Halloween costumes graze and jump around (or on) you. Costumes are encouraged! Tickets are required and can be purchased online.Library Trick-or-Treat (October 31 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bedford Library): Kids and teens, stop by the Library to trick-or-treat with your favorite Library staff, while supplies last.
