The acting CEO of the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS), Masile Ramorwesi, should not have been part of a committee that evaluated the bids for the appointment of four service providers to dish out allowances to students.
This significant observation was made in a report released late last year by law firm Werksmans Attorneys and advocate Tembeka Ngcukaitobi SC, which was tasked with investigating allegations of irregularities involving the tender awarded by NSFAS to Coinvest Africa, Norraco Corporation, Tenet Technology and eZaga Holdings.
The probe found the appointments of the four companies were irregular.
