Nasreddine Nabi is the new head coach of South African football giants Kaizer Chiefs, it has finally been confirmed, putting an end to rumours about one of the worst-kept sporting secrets yet.

An announcement was made late on Sunday evening via a video released from the club's official X account, showing the 58-year-old alongside the club's sporting director, Kaizer Motaung Jr, meeting and greeting the players for the first time – in Turkey after Amakhosi trekked to Europe to prepare for the looming 2024/25 campaign.

Chiefs have long flirted with the idea of bringing the Tunisian-born mentor to Naturena. However, when talks took place more than a year ago, Nabi had his own conditions. He wanted to select his own technical team, which the Motaung family-owned club was against.
