The finale of the inaugural four-team Supercoppa Italiana sees Napoli meet Inter in Saudi Arabia to award the first trophy of the Italian domestic season.

Napoli have an extra day of rest after they topped Fiorentina 3-0 on Thursday in their semifinal, while Inter dispatched Lazio by the same score on Friday.

These two teams finished first and second in the Serie A table last season, but find themselves in opposite positions at this point in time. Inter lead Serie A and look utterly dominant in all phases, while defending champions Napoli have plummeted down to eighth thanks largely to massive struggles at home.

Napoli could very much use a big moment to kickstart the second half of their season and spark a move up the table, but it will be a big test against one of Europe's hottest teams.

After watching Inter take on consistent thorn Lazio and shrug them aside with little difficulty, it's hard to imagine that Napoli would pose any kind of resistance to the most in-form team in all of Italy.

Quite simply, Inter have been steamrolling everyone in their wake over the past two months. In the five matches since their last defeat, coming at the hands of Bologna in the Coppa Italia, Inter have won three of them by multiple goals, and have three more such victories if you stretch it back to the start of December.

Inter won the first league meeting of the season between these two sides by a 3-0 score, although that was at Napoli, where the Partenopei have been putrid all year. Napoli should put up a better fight than they did in that complete demolition, but with Victor Osimhen on international duty and with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in poor form, it's tough to see them keeping up with Inter.

Lautaro Martinez is the most in-form goal scorer in Serie A right now with goals in four straight league matches, but after he took a match off from blasting the ball in the net against Lazio in the Supercoppa semifinal, he should find himself back on the scoresheet here. The plus odds are simply too good to pass up.

Yet there should be plenty of opportunities to go around, and France international Marcus Thuram has also begun to rise to the occasion for Inter. In his first season with the Italian club after moving from Borussia Monchengladbach, he has come to life. He has been a streaky goal scorer this year, and with a goal in his last two games for the club, the 26-year-old will have a big influence on this match.
