After its theatrical release in late September, Francis Ford Coppola‘s dystopian drama Megalopolis is now available to watch at home.
Although the iconic director’s passion project may still be playing at a movie theater near you, it’s now available to rent on digital in 4K Ultra HD at Prime Video, Apple TV and other premium video-on-demand platforms.

Coppola invested $120 million of his own money to make Megalopolis, which follows the struggle between a brilliant architect (Adam Driver) and a greedy mayor (Giancarlo Esposito) over the future of the fictional city of New Rome. The film has been mired by offscreen drama with controversies over the trailer releases and lawsuits over claims of sexual harassment.

Where to Stream Megalopolis Online
Distributed by Lionsgate, Megalopolis is expected to stream on Peacock when its current theatrical run is over. The movie studio made a deal with NBCUniversal for the streaming rights for their films, so you’ll likely be able to stream Megalopolis on Peacock sometime in late December or early January 2025.
In the meantime, Megalopolis in 4K Ultra HD is available digitally to rent for $19.99 on Prime Video, Apple TV and other video-on-demand platforms. Tickets to see the film in theaters are still available at Fandango.com and elsewhere.

The film follows the continuing struggle between the brilliant artist and architect Cesar Catilina (Adam Driver) and the greedy mayor Franklyn Cicero (Giancarlo Esposito) over the direction of New Rome. However, Franklyn’s daughter, Julia Cicero (Nathalie Emmanuel), comes between the two rivals.
The movie also stars Aubrey Plaza, Shia LaBeouf, Jon Voight, Laurence Fishburne, Kathryn Hunter, Dustin Hoffman and others. It runs two hours and 18 minutes.
