Reserve Bank seizes R60m in assets from Markus Jooste's former ...

JOHANNESBURG - The Reserve Bank has seized about R60M in cash and property,
from Markus Jooste’s rumored girlfriend Berdine Odendaal.

Jooste died last month a day after the Financial Sector Conduct Authority slapped him,
with a R475M fine for accounting irregularities at Steinhoff.

Attorney Dhahini Naidu says the recent developments have set a significant legal precedent,
in the fight against corporate fraud in South Africa.
