Hearts break on X following reports of Mapimpi expecting a little bokke

Social media has been on a frenzy today after reports surfaced that Springbok heartthrob, Makazole Mapimpi, is allegedly married, and the couple are anticipating the birth of their child.

Here’s the post that started the meltdown…

Makazole Mapimpi’s wife is due to give birth any day which is why he has not linked up with the Springboks this week. Family always so important for this team so never an option to miss the birth of his child. Canan Moodie gets his chance.

Makazole Mapimpi decision to marry is the best ever. It will save him from all those hoes who Don’t want to be independent, but date men with money to live a lavish lifestyle, He will spend all he ever worked for with a wife by his side not a girlfriend who will leave him soon pic.twitter.com/UIBIU9kMRb

While some have expressed shock at the news, others have shared how happy they are that the jersey number 11 player finally has a family.

Makazole Mapimpi having a family of his own is special.
His story in Chasing The Sun 1 was beyond sad.

When Springbok players had pictures of their families put on their 2019 World cup jerseys, he only had pictures of himself because all of his immediate relatives had passed on. pic.twitter.com/mJ6CTvOpRV

In 2019, in the SuperSport documentary ‘Chasing the Sun’, Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus couldn’t hide his emotions when he talked about how Mampipi didn’t have a picture of anyone living in his family he could place on his jersey.

And while questions remain on who his wife is, people have been calling for popular lifestyle show ‘Top Billing’ to return to our screens, saying if the show was still around – Mzansi would know all the Wags (sport players’ wives and girlfriends).

Top Billing would’ve really done the work. We would know all the Springbok WAGs by now. https://t.co/3kgE1EndWx

You see why we need Top Billing back on our screens? We wouldn’t found out that Mapimpi is married and is about to have a baby like this.

The gap that Top Billing left is enormous, and we could have witnessed the wedding instead of us being shocked. https://t.co/0blywQ0B7M
