Gary Neville has named five Manchester United players who would need to shine this campaign for his old club to be able to mount a genuine title charge.
United have won not the Premier League since Sir Alex Ferguson retired 10 years ago. However, the club made a lot of progress under Erik ten Hag on and off the pitch last season.
Ten Hag is keen to kick on this season and three high-profile signings - Andre Onana, Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund - have arrived as United strive to build on a third-place finish and their Carabao Cup win.
Neville does not believe his former club are ready to challenge for the Premier League title, but he has named five players who would need to be at their very best if Ten Hag's men were to mount an unexpected charge.

Speaking in the Sky Sports studio, Neville said: "There'll be those that'll say they need to challenge for the title now, but looking at Arsenal and how they've spent, and how established Manchester City already are, I think it'd be harsh to say Manchester United should be competing for the title [this season].
"If they compete for the title, I think Antony will now have to explode this season and [Marcus] Rashford will need to put up the same numbers as he did last year, and Hojlund, Mount and Onana are going to have to hit the ground running, and that'll be difficult."
Neville added: "Hojlund, he's still very young, and Onana has taken the most pressured role in all of English football being Manchester United's goalkeeper, so I think third position and winning another trophy would be a success, but I understand where pressure is coming from due to spending."
