Manchester United vs Tottenham live updates: Premier League ...
FT: Manchester Utd 0-3 Tottenham
There it is. The whistle everyone inside Old Trafford had wanted for a while now.
A brilliant win for Tottenham. A torrid afternoon for Manchester United.
A new low? Time will tell...

Hello there, Mikey Moore. That’s a fine effort from range, that is curling towards goal — but just not quite enough.

There are a lot of red, empty seats now at Old Trafford.
As for how long there is left? That would be SIX added minutes to play out from here.
Still time for one more save from Onana, denying Solanke’s low drive. Sarr then heads the rebound wide of the unprotected goal.

Nice to see Lucas Bergvall pick up the ball and run with it, albeit on a pitch where there is a lot of space.
Sadly, the young midfielder blazes a rank shot miles off-target.
Just as rank is the weather in Manchester. It is teaming down and you wonder if there will also be waterfall images to go with the desperate performance on the pitch.
I say desperate. The second half hadn’t been too bad until that third Spurs goal. But it really doesn’t count for much now.

Who wouldn’t want to come on when you’re 3-0 down at home and only have 10 men on the pitch?
Amad Diallo is the lucky recipient, coming on for the stricken Mount.

We’ve got a stoppage as Mount receives treatment for a nasty aerial challenge from Dragusin, who came on for Van de Ven moments earlier.
Mount has blood coming from the back of his head and walks off the pitch with a towel and some assistance.

The United fans were with the players but they’re not any more. Thousands stream out at Tottenham’s third goal.
Solanke with a familiar feeling, scoring in a 3-0 at Old Trafford. He did it for Bournemouth last season.
This feels bleak for Ten Hag and his team.

Drama OVER! It’s three to Spurs and this game is done.
Lovely corner floated over by Bergvall, Sarr flicks on and Dominic Solanke gets a toe on the ball to deflect it beyond Onana and in.
Three-nil, Tottenham are winning this. United’s rally is done.

Looks like Ange Postecoglou isn’t best pleased with this second half either, because here comes a triple change.
Mikey Moore is on in place of Brennan Johnson, who really was excellent in the first half.
Timo Werner has spurned Spurs’ best chances; Lucas Bergvall is on in his place.
And James Maddison makes way too. He remains without a goal against the side he supported as a boy. Pape Sarr is on for him.

It’s been a few minutes since there was a booking — cue Porro bringing down Garnacho and seeing yellow.
It would be an interesting finale to all this if Tottenham ended up down to 10 men themselves.

This is poor from Tottenham really. Suddenly they have no control over territory or the dynamic of the game, never mind the actual ball.
A United corner is well defended though, and comes after a couple of changes from Ten Hag.
Hojlund and Eriksen are on, with Rashford and Ugarte making way.

Curious second half this, because you almost need reminding that Man United are down to 10 men.
Their next chance comes from Martinez’s cross — with Casemiro arriving in the box and firing wide of the far post.
The United fans have been brilliant since the break.

We’ve got Manuel Ugarte in the book now, after a tussle with Kulusevski.
I have to say I was looking forward to seeing Ugarte and Mainoo as Man United’s midfield today — but it’s been a bit of a disaster.

In fairness to Man United, that’s as close as they’ve come to scoring in this difficult afternoon.
There’s a scramble in the box, Martinez flings a floating shot just wide of the far post — and then there’s also time for a hand that intervenes from Romero.
United want a penalty, VAR checks the circumstances, but it’s soon swiped away.
The noise inside Old Trafford is now on another level. The home fans sense something unlikely is brewing.
The hosts get another corner, but the ball bounces wide and Tottenham protect their lead.

Spurs go close again as Kulusevski sets Werner clear on goal.
Again, it’s a tame effort that Onana saves well — and the keeper then flies out to claim the ball off the feet of Solanke for the follow-up.
That may be the first time a United player has been applauded for some sort of effort this afternoon.

The bookings are racking up now.
James Maddison is on the receiving end of a nasty lunge from Martinez, who deserves an orange card for that I reckon.
The orange card doesn’t exist though, so a yellow will have to do.
Djed Spence was booked moments earlier for a deliberate handball after Mazraoui tried to knock the ball past him.
United now lead the bookings count 3-2.

Any plans to keep the game at 1-0 for as long as possible were shredded so soon after the restart.
It’s another comical goal to concede too, with Martinez nowhere near the ball. It let Johnson run clear, with Kulusevski then also free in the middle.

Spurs fans are in full voice: “You’re getting sacked in the morning, sacked in the morning!”

Well that was easy! Johnson in acres of space down the right and his deflected cross is poked past Onana by Kulusevski.
Spurs are leading 2-0 and their fans are going crazy.
I can see Brennan Johnson’s dad, David, in the directors’ box and he celebrated that goal with a big fist pump.
For the record, this is also a big moment for Djed Spence who replaced Destiny Udogie at half-time.
Udogie had needed treatment on his right leg early on in the first half.
