Mpumalanga’s trusted 2010 Soccer World Cup Stadium in Mbombela will come alive next Tuesday and again on February 5, when TS Galaxy host the defending champions and current log leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs respectively.

The stadium’s spokesperson, Mthuthuzeli Zondo, said everything is in order and they are ready to host these two crucial games.

He said tickets for the Sundowns’ clash are already available and selling at Computicket outlets nationally.
“The tickets are available at only R50 for adults and R20 for children. We hope people will come out in their numbers
and pack the stadium to full capacity,” Zondo said.

TS Galaxy come to these two crucial games in search of points to avoid relegation, or the scenario in which they found themselves in last season. They are currently on position 11 on the table with 19 points after 16 games.

Mamelodi Sundowns, on the other hand, are on fire and already on top of the table with 40 points after 16 games.
Galaxy’s next opponents in Mbombela, Kaizer Chiefs, are currently situated on position four with 24 points, also after
16 games played.
This makes both encounters for Galaxy crucial and a must-win.
Local soccer fanatics are already gearing up for these scheduled clashes.

Mamelodi Sundowns’ Greater Mbombela Supporters Club revived their branch in a bid to mobilise for support on Tuesday.

Since it is a mid-week game, Zondo appealed to soccer-loving fans to get their tickets early and also to come to the stadium early.
