Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering City, who also won the Champions League and FA Cup last season, will have to see off Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and the rest to claim an unprecedented sixth league title in seven years.
Meanwhile Luton Town are making their first appearance in the Premier League, having risen from non-league in an incredible decade of progress. They followed Championship winners Burnley and second-placed Sheffield United in earning promotion to the top flight.

Morris left it late but they have won it! They are level on points with Nottingham Forest albeit having played a game extra. It was a deserved victory with the xG 1.42 to 0.33. Tavernier opened the scoring seven minutes after the break hit a driven shot past Kaminski. It was their first flurry forward in the second half, and Neto was forced to deny Morris and Barkley on a few occasions and in the 73rd minute Clark netted the equaliser with a clinical finish. They pushed for a winner but were met by a resilient Bournemouth, who were unbeaten in five until Morris popped up with a crucial winner. Barkley's shots are getting closer and closer. The first went sky-high, the second was defended well and this one went through to Neto who got down low to stop the Englishman.

Neto is called into action for the first time today. Morris does well to fire across goal and Neto reacts quickly to parry it away. It is difficult to see if it was on target or not, but the Brazilian wasn't taking any chances.

The Cherries started to slow down towards the break, but when they quickened the play Indoni's side looked too much to handle for Luton. Luton defended their box well with most of Bournemouth's chance coming from distance, but they have struggled to find themselves in a positive position in Bournemouth's half. Edwards would like to see his side have a couple more shots and test Neto, who hasn't had a save to make.

Bournemouth had their chances to take a first-half lead, but they found Kaminski and the woodwork a familiar foe. Tavernier struck the post with a venomous free-kick, and then Kluivert clipped the same post as he tried to find the far corner. Kaminski then reacted well to deny Solanke. The travelling side have shown why they are unbeaten in five games but they slowed down towards the end of the half. Luton have struggled to forge chances, with Barkley's long-range efforts the most noteworthy.

He has rewarded Kluivert with a start after he scored the winner against Palace, and Kerkez and Semenyo also come into the starting line-up. Senesi makes his return to the bench after injuring himself against Burnley a month ago, and with the team in such fine form, Indoni has opted for as little change as possible.

He has made two changes from their 2-0 defeat to Arsenal midweek. Burke and Chong come in while Onyedinma and Mpanzu drop to the bench. Luton sit three points behind Nottingham Forest who are 17th, and this is the team that Edwards’ trust to close the gap.

Bournemouth have turned a corner. It looked a bit doom and gloom at the start of 2024 after they had struggled to win and got knocked out of the FA Cup by Championship side Leicester City. That has completely changed and since their cup exit they haven’t lost, and that included an incredible 4-3 comeback against today’s opponents Luton. The Cherries have loved playing away and they have only lost two of their last nine on the road, so it could be a cracker here at Kenilworth Road.

They were 3-0 up and coasting at half-time but a spectacular Bournemouth arrived after the break and scored four goals to win the game.
