Hatters strengthen bond with Luton Town LadiesThe Club to offer greater support to Luton Town Ladies as part of new restructured agreement
Ties between the Club and Luton Town Ladies will become stronger following the signing of a new restructured agreement which will further aid the development of the women’s team off the pitch.
The collaboration will see the Club provide additional support to the Ladies, who will be able to lean on the full-time recourses of departments at Kenilworth Road.
A part of the agreement also includes the staging for future ladies’ matches at Kenilworth Road.
Town operations director James Mooney said: “It is really important to the Club to bring Luton Town Ladies closer to the men’s club and work together on many projects.
“The new agreement will add great value to the Ladies in terms of learning how things operate on a professional level, as well as having the support of club staff to help improve their infrastructure and processes.
“Dave and Nikki Baker have been incredibly open to ideas of the systems they already have in place, which have brought them a lot of success over the years and captured national attention with their run to the FA Cup fourth round last season.
“This is a way of building on those solid foundations and hopefully leading to more success in the years to come.”
Luton Town Ladies general manager Nikki Baker, and football operations manager Dave Baker said: “We are really excited to kick-off this new in-depth commitment to the partnership with Luton Town.
“Although there has been a formal agreement in place since 2001, the increased level of support will enable us to grow the club faster.
“We are all committed to the aim of the Ladies climbing the women’s pyramid but that progress must be both sustainable and progressive, and it is wonderful that the Club are investing in the project to help achieve those ambitions.
“We have a proven line of talented youth players who have progressed into senior football with their home town club, and this agreement can only enhance the prospects that these players remain with the club and are able to wear the orange shirt as a senior player.”
