Referring to "hearsay" evidence that reportedly came from Orlando Pirates chairperson Irvin Khoza, a defence attorney in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial claimed on Monday that Longwe Twala - the son of renowned musician and producer Chico Twala - had killed the famous soccer player.
Attorney Thulani Mngomezulu, who is representing Muzi Sibiya put this statement to one of the investigating officers in the matter, Sergeant Batho Mogola, during cross-examination in the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria.
Twala was one people in the Vosloorus house where the shooting occurred on 26 October 2014. Twala was dating Zandi Khumalo, the sister of Meyiwa's girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo.
