"We will give an update as soon as we have information to share."

The racer was an inspiration to women and girls after scoring three successive victories in the 2019 series of Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings.

She was also the first woman to break the 200 mph barrier in eighth-mile doorslammer racing with a 3.802-second run.

Lizzy Musi then made history again in July 2014 when she became the first woman to win a Pro Nitrous national event at the Professional Drag Racers Association US Drags.

Tributes have poured in for the 33-year-old racer who was open about her stage 4 triple-negative breast cancer diagnosis which is one of the most aggressive types of breast cancer.

'SOUL MATE'

Earlier this year, Musi publicly praised her boyfriend Jeffrey Earnhardt, the grandson of legendary NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt, for his unwavering support.

"This guy right here has supported me like no other from sleepless ER nights and dealing with my health to cheering me on at my races," Musi wrote on Instagram.

"This past weekend I got to watch him do his thing after a long off-season and he just straight killed it. @jearnhardt1 #thankful #oneofakind #howloveissupposetofeel"

The pair started dating in late 2023 following her split with racer Kyle Kelley.

In January, Musi gave an insight into her relationship with Earnhardt in a poignant Facebook post.

"I found a man when I least expected it, on top of going through the worst time in my life... it didn't phase him and he has loved me unconditionally since," she wrote.

Nate died following a car crash in southwest Texas on April 6.

Musi paid tribute to her co-star whom she called a "hell of a guy."

"Hard to wrap my mind around this one," she wrote on Instagram.
