After arriving from Mallorca, Lee was thrown in at the deep end by coach Luis Enrique as the champions opened up the 2023-24 campaign with a goalless draw at home to Lorient.
He then featured for barely a half in the 1-1 draw with Toulouse that followed before injury and international duty meant that was his last appearance in the red-and-blue shirt ahead of Round 9.
But while away with South Korea, Lee has won the Asian Games football gold medal before scoring his first senior international goals in a 4-0 win friendly win over Tunisia and tallying another strike in the 6-0 defeat of Vietnam in friendly earlier this week before making the long trip back to France.
"For us, in our system, his preferred position would be as a number 8," said Luis Enrique, who could use Lee to replace the injured Warren Zaire-Emery in his starting XI. "But he can also play as a winger and perhaps even through the middle as a false nine or as a support striker. He's good at finishing and can make that final pass. He's a very promising player."
