Willy Gnonto Wins Player and Goal of the Month Awards
Willy Gnonto dominated September's club awards, as he picked up the JD Sports Player of the Month and BOXT Goal of the Month.
The Italian international featured in all three of Leeds' Championship fixtures during September, putting in a Player of the Match performance during the 3-0 win over Coventry.
The 20 year old's performance saw him win the Player of the Month award comfortably with 58% of the vote, followed by Joel Piroe (8%), Largie Ramazani (8%) and Junior Firpo (7%).
Gnonto's strike against Coventry also earned the Leeds attacker Goal of the Month, winning out over Largie Ramazani (vs Cardiff City), Joel Piroe (vs Cardiff City) and Jayden Bogle (vs Coventry City).
In addition to playing a key part in wins over Cardiff and Coventry, Gnonto also captained Italy's U21s to a 7-0 win over San Marino, and scored in the 3-0 win over Norway's U21s.
