Spain U21s call up for Leeds star Mateo Joseph - Leeds United

Mateo Joseph is the latest Leeds United star to receive an international call up, with the forward named in Santi Denia's Spain U21s squad to face Kazakhstan and Malta.

The Santander-born forward has started every league game for Leeds this season, scoring against Hull City and providing three assists in games against Sheffield Wednesday and Cardiff.

Joseph has featured for Spain's U21s on four occasions in 2024, scoring crucial goals against Belgium and Scotland in March and September respectively.

Spain's U21s kick off this month's internationals by hosting Kazakhstan on Thursday 10th October in Cadiz, before facing Malta five days later on Tuesday 15th October at the Estadio Nuevo Mirador in Algeciras.
