Lazio vice-captain Patric, who wore the armband during his team’s emphatic 5-1 victory away against Como, says that he ‘feels like a son to the supporters’ after getting on the scoresheet in a midweek thriller on Thursday evening.
Patric grabbed Lazio’s third goal of the game with a header at the back-post following a Pedro corner.
Taty Castellanos and Pedro had already opened the scoring for the Biancocelesti in the first half, which was responded to by Luca Mazzitelli’s brilliant half-volley early in the second. Patric restored the two-goal advantage, only for Castellanos and Loum Tchaouna to add two more in the final exchanges.
Patric delighted after Como 1-5 Lazio“We are happy that we’ve found some consistency on the pitch,” Patric told DAZN after full-time.
“We started again with our work during the week, and we’ve applied the coach’s instru ctions in the best possible way.”
On the endearing support he feels from the Lazio fans after 10 years at the Stadio Olimpico, Patric added: “I feel like a son to the Lazio supporters. I’ve been here for ten years and I want to represent the fans on the pitch. The captain’s armband is a great source of pride for me.”
