AmaZulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini has accused his uncle, Prince Mbonisi kaBhekuzulu, of being a "vexatious litigant" and has called on the KwaZulu-Natal High Court in Pietermaritzburg to stop entertaining court bids by his late father's half-brother.

In court papers filed earlier this month, the AmaZulu monarch accused Mbonisi of overstepping by "purporting to act on behalf of the Zulu royal family, despite lacking the authority to do so".

The AmaZulu King's papers are in response to Mbonisi's application to halt the state's financial support for the king as well as his authority on the lucrative Ingonyama Trust Board (ITB).
