Silvio Berlusconi promised 'bus full of wh***s' if Monza beat Juventus - and they won 2-0

30 Jan 2023

Maverick football club owner Silvio Berlusconi owes his Monza players a "bus full of wh***s" following their 2-0 win over Serie A giants Juventus on Sunday.

The controversial former Italian prime minister, who also used to own AC Milan, made the astonishing promise during Monza's Christmas party last month in an effort to motivate the squad - who sealed promotion to Italy's top division for the first time in their history last season … and it's obviously worked.

The notoriously randy 86-year-old said in a bizarre speech: "We found a new coach, who was at our youth team, he is good, smart, kind, and able to stimulate [motivate] our lads. I decided to add an extra stimulation, so I told the lads you will play Milan, Juventus, etc, so if you beat one of these big teams, I will have you greeted in the locker room by a bus full of wh***s."

The erotically-lucrative victory sees Monza leapfrog Juventus, who were docked 15 points earlier this month following an investigation into the club's transfer dealings, into 11th place in the league.

Berlusconi bought Monza in 2018, a year after selling Milan for a reported £730m, and has taken them from Serie C to Serie A in just four years.

He says he wants to transform the team into one of the biggest in Italian football, and given the size of the man's wallet - and the unique incentives he gives his players - you wouldn't want to bet again him.

In two weeks' time, Monza face AC Milan for the chance to win themselves a second wh***-laden bus. Mamma mia.

This isn't the first time Berlusconi has been linked to sex workers. He was accused of engaging in sexual acts with an underage prostitute at one of his infamous 'Bunga Bunga' sex parties in 2012 - something he denied and was later acquitted of in 2014, despite initially being found guilty.
