Juventus back to winning ways as Monza falls
Weston McKennie and Nicolas Gonzalez were on target for Thiago Motta's side, which ended a run of four successive league draws.
The Bianconeri broke the deadlock in the 14th minute, as an unmarked McKennie volleyed home from Teun Koopmeiners's corner.
Monza replied eight minutes later, with Andrea Carboni's inviting cross turned in by Samuele Birindelli.
However, Juventus regained its advantage six minutes before half-time, with Gonzalez finishing after the hosts failed to deal with a centre.
This was the 1,700th victory in Serie A for Juve, making it only the fourth team across the big five European leagues to reach the milestone since 1929-1930, after Real Madrid, Barcelona and Arsenal.
It subsequently extended its unbeaten streak to 25 league matches, while Monza has lost four successive home games in Serie A for the first time.
