EFF leader Julius Malema will not attend president-elect Cyril Ramaphosa's inauguration at the Union Buildings in Pretoria on Wednesday because he will be 1 000km away, in the dock in the East London Magistrate's Court.
The EFF's senior leadership has also opted to snub Ramaphosa's inauguration to support Malema in court.
Malema appeared in court on Tuesday with co-accused bodyguard Adriaan Snyman for their firearm discharge case.
