The highly anticipated Joker: Folie à Deux has officially hit theaters, drawing audiences eager to experience the next chapter in this unconventional comic book franchise.

Departing from the norms of traditional superhero films, this sequel embraces an arthouse musical framework while incorporating some familiar comic book elements.

Given the unexpected success of the original Joker (2019), many fans speculated whether this installment might lay the groundwork for a trilogy.

Does Joker: Folie à Deux feature a post-credits scene?

The answer is no-there are no additional scenes after the credits. Joker: Folie à Deux concludes in a manner that feels definitive, marking a clear end to the story established in both films.

Director Todd Phillips, who directed both the original Joker and its sequel, has expressed satisfaction with the narrative crafted across these two films.

"It was fun to play in this sort of sandbox for two movies, but I think we've said what we wanted to say in this world," Phillips told Variety Magazine.

He further elaborated in a recent chat with The Hollywood Reporter, indicating that he might step away from the DC Universe entirely. When discussing the idea of a standalone film focusing on Arthur Fleck's (Joaquin Phoenix) love interest, Lee (Lady Gaga), he quashed rumors.

"It's not really where this movie is headed for me... I feel like my time in the DC Universe was these two films."

Given Phillips' strong sense of finality regarding the Joker series, it seems unlikely that he intended to include any new material to contemplate after Folie à Deux. Still, the film's exploration of reality led some fans to wonder if there might have been a hidden scene revealing whether Arthur's experiences are genuine or merely a product of his imagination-perhaps a final twist to play with the audience.

Starring Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck and Lady Gaga as Harleen "Lee" Quinzel, Joker: Folie à Deux also boasts a talented supporting cast, including Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Zazie Beetz, Steve Coogan, and Harry Lawtey.

Now showing in theaters, Joker: Folie à Deux invites audiences to dive into its compelling narrative and striking musical elements.
