The 'Kiss' that outraged South Korea

The primary issue stems from Somali's disrespectful behavior towards a historical statue in Seoul. The statue, known as The Statue of Peace, commemorates the "comfort women," Korean women who were forced into sexual slavery by the Japanese military during World War II. The statue honors the tens of thousands of young women who were subjected to sexual slavery by the Japanese military during Korea’s occupation from 1910 to 1945.Somali was seen kissing and twerking in front of the statue, an act that deeply offended many Koreans. This act sparked widespread outrage across South Korea, with many calling for severe punishment.

Somali faces up to 10 years in jail

As a result of this incident, Somali has been arrested by South Korean authorities and is facing potential imprisonment of up to ten years. He is currently banned from leaving the country while the investigation is ongoing. Additionally, his past actions have led to bans from both Japan and Jerusalem.

A serial offender

Somali is notorious for his provocative and often offensive behavior. He has been banned from multiple streaming platforms, including Twitch and Kick, due to his history of disruptive and disrespectful conduct.
