Police have found a body believed to be that of missing former world high jump champ Jacques Freitag in a field at the Zandfontein cemetery in Hercules, Pretoria West.
Freitag went missing on 12 June, a day after his birthday.
When asked to confirm whether Freitag had died, Gauteng police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo said a body was discovered on Monday afternoon by a search-and-rescue team.
