ARSENAL PRESSING FOR EQUALISER

Havertz picks it up on the right of the box and cuts in onto his left foot. He looks to curl a floated cross to the far post and Sommer is forced into a good save to stop it from nestling in the top left corner.

From the resulting corner Inter really struggle to clear as Arsenal have a number of efforts blocked as Inter cling on to their clean sheet.

ARSENAL EFFORT CLEARED OFF THE LINE

Saka goes on the outside again and is rewarded with another corner as his cross is cleared behind.

This one is targeted to the near post and it gets a flick on with a number of players going up for the header but Dumfries is there at the back post to make a vital goal-line clearance.

Saka is fed by Jesus with some space down the right. He opts to go on the outside this time before delivering a wicked cross with his right foot.

Inter get a vital touch on it to flick the cross away. A cross comes back in from the left but Saka is unable to get any real purchase on his header and it's easy pickings for Sommer.

White's pass looking for Havertz in the area is sloppy as Calhanoglou cuts it out before winning the foul under pressure. Really good stuff from the goalscorer.

White then gives away a cheap foul with Inter penned in. Replays show it was a soft one and that's generous to Zielinski who went down rather easily.

Inter have a promising position with a throw high up their left but Darmian's attempted launch into the box barely reaches the area and Inter give the foul away anyway.

Moments later and Martinez plays a wonderful incisive pass for Dumfries to run on to but his squared ball looking for Taremi takes a nick and Raya can gather. Nearly a wonderful counter.

Dumfries heads behind as Arsenal continue to rack up the corners. Martinelli swings it in and it looks to be landing on the head of Saliba just a matter of yards out but he fails to get any real contact on it.

He was perhaps on the retreat slightly as he looked ot nod it home but tt looked like a big chance nonetheless

Arsenal are looking to really press Inter from their goal kick and Jesus nearly closes down Sommer but gives away the foul with a late challenge.

EARLY CHANCE FOR MARTINELLI

Jesus looks to be going straight up front as Havertz and Trossard look to be dropping deeper.

Havertz does well to feed Martinelli into the left of the box. He shifts it onto his left foot but his low powerful strike goes wide of the near post. Quite a big chance there, he needed to hit the target.

WILL WE SEE ODEGAARD IN THE SECOND PERIOD?

It leads to an Arsenal corner seconds later that Saka looks to plant on Gabriel's head but Inter cope once again as it's flicked for a corner on the opposite side.

Martinelli delivers a similar ball from the left that perhaps wrongly results in another Arsenal corner from Saka's side. The ball drops to Martinelli whose eventual cross is headed away by Bisseck.

INTER THREATEN DOWN RIGHT

Timber pulls down fellow countryman Dumfries for the second time in this first-half. It's quite a physical duel developing between the pair down Inter's right.

The home side work a nice move down that right hand side moments later. Frattesi's hooked volleyed cross from inside the box finds Taremi at the back post but he can't keep his header down under pressure from White.

HAVERTZ'S IMPRESSIVE HOLD-UP

Havertz, who has been quiet, holds the ball up nicely to allow Arsenal to make ground up the pitch but Inter are solid in their defensive shape and the visitors are struggling to find a gap.

Havertz does well again to win the throw-in high up Arsenal's left. Martinelli's inswinging cross is flicked on for yet another corner on Arsenal's right. Saka targets this one to the near post and after a brief scramble it is cleared.

GABRIEL HAS TO BE CAREFUL

Gabriel gives away another foul on Martinez. Granted it was soft but he has to be careful given his early yellow.

It's the central defender who wins the foul moments later from Martinez's centre-forward partner Taremi who leaves a high one on Gabriel.

SOMMER COPING WITH CORNERS

The resulting corner is right on top of Sommer again with an inswinging delivery but Sommer deals with it well again.

Saka leaves a late one on Calhanoglou on the edge of the Inter box to relieve this spell of pressure on the home side.
