Italian scout Marco Palma has confirmed Inter Milan’s interest in Boca Juniors teen sensation Brian Aguirre.

Speaking to TMW Radio via FCInter1908, Palma highlighted the 21-year-old’s qualities amid speculation linking him with a move to Italy.

Aguirre swapped boyhood club Newell’s Old Boys for Boca Juniors in the summer for a reported fee of €4.5 million.

Despite the club’s sub-par sixth-placed finish in the Primera Division, the versatile forward enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season.

Indeed, Aguirre has quickly established himself as a permanent first-team fixture under head coach Fernando Gago.

He collected 38 appearances in all competitions, mustering five goals and two assists.

Always attentive to the South American market, Inter could add another Argentine talent to their squad.

Tomas Palacios followed in the footsteps of Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa in the summer.

However, the Italian giants are unwilling to stop there.

Aguirre could be their next exciting coup after demonstrating exceptional qualities at La Bombonera.

It’s still uncertain whether Boca Juniors would be open to offloading their rising star.

These are challenging times for the highly decorated Argentine outfit.

Indeed, they’ve relinquished their status as a supreme force in domestic football.

Keen to end a two-year title drought, Gago’s side may want to keep hold of all first-team stalwarts.
