Harvey Weinstein has been receiving treatment for bone-marrow cancer. The disgraced producer was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia, ABC News reported. His health-care representative did not confirm the diagnosis, criticizing “the speculation surrounding Mr. Weinstein’s medical condition” as “troubling and unacceptable” to People. Weinstein is currently awaiting retrial on sexual-assault and rape charges in New York, where he is being held at Rikers Island after his previous 23-year conviction was overturned earlier this year. He pleaded not guilty to more charges last month. As the new charges dropped, Weinstein had also been hospitalized for emergency heart surgery. He was previously hospitalized for COVID-19 and pneumonia in July.
