Paulo Dybala could be about to take a new direction in his career, and this time, it looks like the destination might be Turkey. The Argentine forward, who joined Roma in 2022 as a free agent, has been a key figure in the Roman attack, but his future is now uncertain. With his contract expiring in June 2025, Galatasaray, the leader of the Turkish Super League, has shown interest in signing him, especially after the injury of his compatriot Mauro Icardi.

Dybala’s agent, Carlos Novel, was recently in Istanbul, where he watched Galatasaray’s victory over Trabzonspor, sparking further rumors about a possible transfer. Although the player has been important for Roma this season, the Turkish club’s offer, reportedly around $10 million per season, could be tempting for the Argentine. Dybala has expressed a desire for a change of scenery, and Galatasaray sees him as an ideal addition to help them continue competing for both domestic and international titles.

Roma’s Stance and Dybala’s Future

Roma’s coach, Claudio Ranieri, made it clear that while he is willing to keep "La Joya" on board, he will also respect the player’s priorities. In this regard, renewing Dybala’s contract could be key in the coming months, as Roma might choose to sell him this winter to avoid losing him for free in 2025. However, the Argentine has been clear about his intentions: he wants to avoid renewing and could land in Istanbul to join Galatasaray’s ambitious project.

Despite the financial differences, with Dybala seeking a contract worth $15 million annually, Galatasaray is not ruling out making an effort to close the deal this winter. If everything falls into place, the Argentine forward could become one of the standout figures in Turkish football, joining other big names like Mertens and Osimhen, further strengthening the Turkish club’s power.
