Everton 1-1 Fulham Stats: Beto’s Dramatic Equaliser Makes It Five Unbeaten for Toffees

Beto snatched a draw from the jaws of defeat for Sean Dyche’s men at Goodison Park on Saturday. Re-live the late drama with the best facts and Opta data in our Everton vs Fulham stats page.

Beto scored a stoppage-time header to earn Everton a 1-1 draw with Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday and extend their unbeaten run to five matches.

Fulham had been on course for an arguably deserved 1-0 win, but Beto – who’s introduction from the bench was hardly greeted with euphoria from the home crowd – nodded home at the death.

In a match of few clear-cut opportunities, Dominic Calvert-Lewin briefly thought he’d put Everton in front during the first half, but his strike was disallowed for offside; he ended the game having been caught offside 16 times this season, five more than anyone else in the Premier League.

Both sides largely lacked quality in the final third, though the goal was very much an exception as two Arsenal academy graduates linked up to devastating effect.

Emile Smith Rowe’s brilliant run destabilised the Everton defence and he nudged the ball to Alex Iwobi, who picked out the bottom-left corner from 20 yards against his former club.

But just when that looked as though it’d be enough, Beto turned in Ashley Young’s delivery in the fourth minute of additional time to ensure Everton made it five league games unbeaten for only the second time under Sean Dyche.

Similarly, Beto’s leveller prevented Fulham boss Marco Silva making it three Premier League wins in a row against his former club at Goodison Park.

That goal also meant four of Saturday’s five Premier League games had result-changing goals scored in stoppage time.
