Esta TerBlanche Dies at 51

Esta TerBlanche, a South African actress renowned for her roles in television soap operas, has passed away at the age of 51. Per her publicist, TerBlanche died of natural causes on Thursday July 18. An autopsy report is pending.

Her remarkable journey in the entertainment industry began when she was crowned Miss Teen South Africa in 1991. She gained widespread recognition for portraying Bienkie Naudé Hartman in the South African drama Egoli: Place of Gold from 1992 to 1995.

Esta’s pursued opportunities in the United States, where she quickly secured her first acting role in a hair products commercial. In 1997, she played the role of Gillian Andrassy on the American daytime drama All My Children until 2001.

Esta TerBlanche made a guest appearance on Egoli: Place of Gold in 2004, as well as on All My Children in 24 August 2011.
