The 34-year-old lost just two of his 38 fights, recording 14 KOs during that time.
Flanagan was in attendance to watch his side defeat Sheffield United 2-1 at Bramall Lane on Sunday afternoon.
Haaland had missed a penalty earlier on in the match, as Man City found it difficult to breakdown a stubborn Blades.

Flanagan then made his way from the stands onto the pitch, and was seen jumping on Haaland's back, whilst joining in the City celebrations.
The former fighter was also seen kissing the Norway international's neck, with Bernardo Silva shocked what he was witnessing.
Security guards quickly rushed onto the scene to remove Flanagan, and usher him out of the stadium.
Jayden Bogle did equalise for Paul Heckingbottom's side on 85 minutes, and Sheffield United looked to have secured a point.
