Manchester United had the opportunity of stopping their city rivals from matching their record but could not, falling to a 2-1 loss at Wembley in the FA Cup final.

Since the final whistle blew at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul by referee, Szymon Marciniak, Man City's celebrating has continued with great fervour.

The team has partied in Turkey and squeezed in a short trip to Ibiza in Spain, before returning to Manchester for a triumphant bus parade.

Haaland enjoyed a successful first season in English football. He helped the team complete a treble and won the league and Champions League golden boots.

The Norwegian also showed his goofy side with a song during the party back in England, singing a song which has also been seen as trolling of title rivals, Arsenal.

In a video recirculated on Twitter by ESPNFC, the 22-year-old said he has heard the song for months and wanted fans to join him, before singing 'Champions of Europe, you’ll never sing that'.

The triumph in Turkey was the Citizens’ first success in the UCL, after falling short to Chelsea in 2021, while the Gunners’ best outing in the competition was a 2-1 loss to Barcelona in the 2006 final.

As reported by Sun Sports, the former Borussia Dortmund striker recognised the purpose of his transfer to England, which was to help Pep Guardiola’s men go a notch higher in the top European tourney.

Nottingham Forest fans’ banter chant

Sports Brief also reported that Nottingham Forest fans bantered City fans during their 1-1 draw in the Premier League at the City Ground in February.

The lowly Forest are two-time Champions League winners and they chanted 'Champions of Europe, you’ll never sing that' at the travelling Citizens' fans.
