Young and old were bussed in to the EFF's "historical manifesto launch" at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on an overcast Saturday morning.
By 10:00, the lower-tier seats were almost packed - a signal that by the end of the day, the party would have packed the 56 000-seater stadium.
National chairperson Ntombovuyo Mente told News24 that the party had been mobilising for the manifesto launch in KwaZulu-Natal since 5 January.
