They read: "Weak club culture and direction

"Supporters ignored and taken for granted

"Weak transfer policy, Youth scapegoated"

Another complained about their banners being removed for advertising. Fans have become increasingly critical of the direction of the club after this latest run of poor results and what they perceive to be Hodgson's focus on highlighting mistakes from young players.

A final banner read: "The fans are the club" and was illuminated by red flares.
