Conor McGregor predicted his KO win over Donald Cerrone in 2020 one week before the fight in a conversation with his fiancee.
UFC superstar McGregor hasn't fought for almost two years having broken his leg in a second defeat to Dustin Poirier, but has announced that he will make his comeback this year against Michael Chandler. The Irishman's last victory came against Donald Cerrone in 2020 as he returned from a lengthy hiatus then following a loss to bitter rival Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2018.
'The Notorious' recorded the win in sensational fashion ousting the MMA veteran with a brutal head kick which rocked his opponent, before unleashing a barrage of shots to close the show in under 40 seconds of the first round. And in trademark 'Mystic Mac' style, footage of his fiancee Dee Devlin celebrating in his Netflix documentary McGregor Forever shows he manifested the moment.
She shouted when going to congratulate the winner backstage: "Oh my god I can't believe it! You know what Conor said to me last week, he said to me 'everyone thinks he's going to knock me out with a head kick, I'm going to knock him out with a head kick'. I swear to god."
Devlin then entered McGregor's dressing room to congratulate her fiancee with a warm embrace, with McGregor returning to form with his win over Cerrone after a defeat to Nurmagomedov beforehand. It was a record-breaking return for the UFC superstar who later suffered back-to-back losses against Poirier.
The fight came at 170lb which is where he will likely return in 2023 against Chandler after piling on the pounds to complete his injury rehabilitation. He will be hoping he can once again secure a vicious KO win in a similar fashion when his return date is confirmed, as he looks to spark a potential title charge.

Both McGregor and Chandler have already filmed for The Ultimate Fighter series as part of their showdown which saw the pair involved in trash-talking face-offs. And the 34-year-old believes he will relish the task and is confident his style will prove too much for his rival.
He told The Mac Life: "I like Michael, I had a good little buzz with him yesterday. I have no issues with him at all. I think he's a good fighter. Just having a buzz with him, he's a nice guy. I think I'm just gonna slice through him. I think I'm a little too slicey for him than anyone else he's fought – a little too snappy and whippy.
"He's more of an athlete type of a guy than a technical martial artist. I know he's got some skills in the wrestling department, and he's got some skills overall, but as far as like the small, finer details, I'm not sure. I'm happy where I'm at. It will be an interesting one before I go against him."
