Brentford B will be hosted by Chelsea Under-21s on Sunday afternoon as they travel to Kingsmeadow in their first PL Cup fixture of the 2024/25Sunday's match will kick-off at 12pm as Sam Saunders will remain in charge of the boys with Neil MacFarlane still on international duty.

Brentford were drawn in Group I as well as Sunday's opponents. Bournemouth and Derby County Under-21s make up the rest of the group.

Last time out

Brentford conceded late, allowing Wigan to peg the young Bees back in Brentford's last fixture.

For most of the game, the Bees were in control of the game, but the second half did see Wigan have extended spells of sustained pressure.

Beaux Booth gave us the lead after good work from Ashley Hay. A trialist managed to get Wigan the leveller.

About Chelsea Under-21s

Chelsea come into the game off the back of a 3-1 win away from home against Middlesbrough U21s. Jimmy-Jay Morgan bagged a hat-trick in that fixture.

The young Blues have started the new season inconsistently with one win, one draw and one loss to their name in three league games.

In their opening International Premier League Cup game, they were defeated by four goals to two against RB Leipzig.
