Report: Bayern Munich offered...Chelsea FC forward Raheem ...
Well this is out of left field — or left wing, even.
Sport Bild has a new report out claiming that Chelsea FC tried to offload forward Raheem Sterling to the Bavarians this summer.
The 29-year-old England international has spent the last two seasons with The Blues after a long run at Manchester City. He is a goal-scoring winger who can play on either flank, though his production has dipped from the peaks he hit under Pep Guardiola from 2017 to 2021.

Raheem Sterling has been offered to FC Bayern a few weeks ago, but the club rejected a potential move for several reasons: age, high wages and no need in the position [@cfbayern, @MichelSchroeer]
Bayern by that point had already made a marquee signing at wing: 22-year-old Michael Olise from Crystal Palace. And recent reports also suggest that the Bavarians are looking to offload one of their existing veteran wingers in this age profile, with Kingsley Coman a reported candidate.
So this is one move that never would have made sense.
