Gqeberha to host second round of Official MSA Motocross Nationals ...
The second round of the Official MSA Motocross Nationals championship will be held at the iconic Rover Motocross sand track in Gqeberha on Saturday, March 30, 2024.
This event will see riders from all over South Africa and the African continent gather for an exhilarating day of motocross racing on the legendary track at Victoria drive. Rover Motocross is a unique sand track in South Africa and will be the highlight opening of the season.
The Eastern Cape prides itself with multiple top riders across the classes who will battle it out with the best of the best in South Africa. Local and national riders to be on the lookout for are: 50cc Luan Jordaan, 65cc one of our local champions Aiden Retief, 85cc Cruz Martin, Trenton Kretzmann, 125cc Trey Cox, Tristan Durow, and local riders Caden Weise and Andrew Venter.
Also competing will be MX ladies Leah Haygate and Kayla Raaff, MX3 Dean Wheeler, Levi Doherty, MX3 Vets Brett Field, local rider Craig Kruger, as well as MX2 Cameron Durow, Jonathan Mlimi, local rider Daniel Venter, MX1 Cameron Durow, Triston Purdon, local rider Kyle Townsend. MX Supermini Aiden Henley, Blake Frost, MX SNR support local riders Danyll Brunette and Cameron Grobler.
Motocross Commission president, Neville Townsend said they are proud to have the support of FIM and FIM Africa for this championship, which will feature multiple champions and official Protea colour recipients competing.
Spectator tickets are also available on Quicket or can be purchased at the gate for only R80 per person for each day. Children under 12 can enter for free.
