Details of the draw

Qualifying for the competition as winners of last season's Women's Super League, the Blues were placed into pot one for the 16-team draw, which was held on Friday in Nyon, Switzerland.

Chelsea were drawn into Group B before being pitted against Real Madrid (Spain), FC Twente (Netherlands), and Celtic (Scotland).

Each side will play each other at home and away – and UEFA confirmed the following fixture information...

Chelsea vs Real Madrid - Tuesday 8 October (8pm)

FC Twente vs Chelsea - Thursday 17 October (8pm)

Celtic vs Chelsea - Wednesday 13 November (8pm)

Chelsea vs Celtic - Wednesday 20 November (8pm)

Chelsea vs FC Twente - Wednesday 11 December (8pm)

Real Madrid vs Chelsea - Tuesday 17 December (5.45pm)

Each of our home Champions League group stage matches will be played at Stamford Bridge this season.

We met Real Madrid at this stage of the competition last season. The Blues recorded a controversial 2-2 draw away in the Spanish capital before winning 2-1 at Stamford Bridge via a Guro Reiten penalty and an own goal.

We have never previously faced FC Twente – the club at which Blues midfielder Wieke Kaptein started her career – or Celtic in the Champions League.
