Football: Daizen Maeda stunner earns Celtic home draw with Club ...
Japan forward Daizen Maeda scored a goal to remember as Celtic salvaged a 1-1 home draw with Club Brugge in the Champions League league phase on Wednesday, taking his season's tally to three in the competition.
Trailing a goal at Celtic Park, Maeda chopped back inside down the left side of the box before firing home a right-footed effort off the far post on the hour mark to earn the Scottish giants a precious point.

"I think it was a really important goal...I just swung at it spontaneously," said Maeda, who just moments earlier had incurred the wrath of the home faithful for playing the ball backward.
"I was feeling the fans' frustration mounting. The players just have to take that and get strength from it."
Center-back Cameron Carter-Vickers scored a disastrous 26th-minute own goal when his no-look back pass rolled into the net beyond keeper Kasper Schmeichel who was out of position, but the home side rallied after the break.
"It was a brilliant goal from Daizen and from there it looked like we could go and win the game," Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers said. "We played much better in the second half and deserved that equalizer."
Maeda, a speedster known for his work ethic and pressing when defending, has now notched 10 goals this season across all competitions.
"I previously hadn't been able to contribute with goals, and it would be meaningless if I don't carry on from this," he said.
Maeda's countrymen Reo Hatate and Kyogo Furuhashi also started for Celtic, who sit 20th out of 36 teams in the league phase with eight points from five games, while Belgian outfit Brugge are a point below in 22nd.
Japan captain and midfielder Wataru Endo was an unused substitute as Liverpool beat holders Real Madrid 2-0 at home to stay top as the only team with a perfect record.
Takumi Minamino also remained on the bench as 10-man Monaco lost for the first time, going down 3-2 at home to Benfica. The attacker revealed he has only got back to team training after suffering an adductor injury while on international duty with Japan.
"I haven't got any issues like pain. The only thing in my mind is to prepare well for the next game," he said.
