Bagpipes at Celtic Connections 2025 - Bagpipe News
Celtic Connections 2025 announced its programme in mid-October with Inveraray & District Pipe Band and Finlay MacDonald Band playing the Piping Concert, on Saturday, January 25th with a 12.30 kickoff in the main auditorium of the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
The early afternoon start of the Piping Concert gives the opportunity to take in more bagpipes on the evening of January 25th. The programme released so far1 shows there is a choice of four concerts happening around Glasgow with Old Blind Dogs, Ímar, Malin Lewis, Brìghde Chaimbeul and Canntaireachd all taking to the stage in various venues.
Across the month of January there are another nine gigs which will feature the pipes of Eabhal, Breabach, Brìghde Chaimbeul, Ross Miller, Ross Ainslie, Ali Hutton and Peatbog Faeries. And creeping into February there is the Ceòlas@30 concert which is sure to feature pipes in various shapes and sizes.
