The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed that the 2024/25 Carling Knockout quarterfinal draw will take place on Sunday, 20 October, after the round of 16 fixture between Richards Bay FC and Sekhukhune United.

Defending champions Stellenbosch FC begin their cup defence with an away tie against AmaZulu FC at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Friday, as they look to unseat a new-look Usuthu side who recently roped in Arthur Zwane and Vusumuzi Vilakazi as co-coaches. The tie commences at 19:00.

On Saturday, in the earlier afternoon kick-off at 15:00, cup specialists Orlando Pirates host newcomers Magesi FC eSgodini while Polokwane City and Marumo Gallants battle it out at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium at the same kick-off time.

Mamelodi Sundowns then welcome Golden Arrows to the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville at 18:00, while at Athlone Stadium, Cape Town City are up against Royal AM at 20:00.

Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United will then conclude the ‘Fak’ uGesi’ fixtures for the day at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane also at 20:00.

On Sunday, last season’s runners-up TS Galaxy and Chippa United are up against each other at Mbombela Stadium at 15:00, while in KwaZulu-Natal, the Natal Rich Boyz entertain Babina Noko at 17:30.
