DStv Premiership newcomers Cape Town Spurs struggling start to the season continued on Friday night as they lost at home to Chippa United.

A Ronaldo Maarman strike just three minutes before half-time gave the Chilli Boys victory in a match where it was Spurs who dominated possession (58%).

In fact, Spurs, who have only scored once this season, have 17 efforts on goal, of which six were on target compared to the six of Chippa (2 on target).

The loss sees Sean Bartlett's charges firmly rooted to the bottom of the table while the win moves Chippa eight on six points.

The pick of the action on Saturday sees Kaizer Chiefs at home to AmaZulu (17:00) and Stellenbosch FC hosting SuperSport United (20:00).
