Potch football star signs for Cape Town City FC | Potchefstroom Herald
One of Potchefstroom’s brightest footballing talents, Heaven Sereetsi, has taken a major step in his career when he was signed to his first Premier Soccer League contract this past week.
Heaven Sereetsi, made his debut for Cape Town City FC in jersey number 33 against Chippa United this past Saturday.Cape Town City FC signed the talented North-West University winger after he impressed during the 2023 Varsity Football tournament.
Sereetsi, a former HTS Potchefstroom learner, played for various teams in Potch such as Bokone FC, and NW Signal FC, before moving to NWU Mafikeng in 2022.
Heaven Sereetsi and his coach and mentor, Lehlohonolo MoeketsiCape Town City FC released a video this past week welcoming Sereetsi to the club. Sereetsi also played his first minutes for the club this past Saturday, 17 February in a DStv Premiership match against Chippa United. He comes on as a substitute for the Citizens.
“I went for trials at NWU Mafikeng in January 2022. During that year my journey of Varsity Football began. The exposure was fantastic. A lot of people are watching and competing with top players helps you to get better. Keep on working hard and believe your abilities and skills,” added Sereetsi in the video.
